Which websites are official for government jobs in India?
Official government job websites in India for central recruiters are www.upsc.gov.in (UPSC), ssc.gov.in (Staff Selection Commission), www.ibps.in (IBPS), indianrailways.gov.in (Indian Railways, with a Vacancies link to the Railway Recruitment Boards) and www.ncs.gov.in (the Ministry of Labour and Employment's National Career Service portal). Type them yourself or bookmark them.

State recruitment commissions and individual departments publish their own notices on their own official sites. Reach them from the state government's official portal, not from a search ad.
How do you tell if a site is official?
- You reached it by typing the address or from another official page.
- The notice is on the recruiter's site and carries a notice or advertisement number.
- Applications and fees are on that site or the portal it links to.
- It does not ask for payment to a person or to a personal account.
A domain that ends in gov.in is not proof by itself. Look-alike names such as extra words, a different ending or a misspelling are a common trick. Do not rely on a link in a message.
Where do you report a fake site or offer?
If someone asks for money to "fix" a result, reserve a seat or give you a government job, it is a fraud. If you lose money, call 1930 and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. To report a suspicious call, SMS or WhatsApp message, use Sanchar Saathi Chakshu (sancharsaathi.gov.in); Chakshu is for reporting suspected fraud messages, not for recovering money already lost.
