Privacy policy | LiveRec
This policy describes how LiveRec handles personal information today.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to people who visit the LiveRec website and to people who use LiveRec as a job seeker, an employer, a Live Recruiter or an affiliate. In this policy, LiveRec, we and us mean the business that operates LiveRec. If you have a question about this policy, reach us through the contact page on this site.
2. Information you give us
Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password when you create an account.
Profile and resume: your work history, education, skills, availability, notice period and job preferences, and the resumes you upload.
Applications: the jobs you apply to or express interest in, and the status of each application.
Employer and recruiter details: your company name, the roles you post, and the information you record about candidates you are hiring for.
Affiliate details: the information needed to track the referrals you make and to pay you, including your payout details.
Messages to us: what you send through the contact form, the waitlist form and help requests, such as your name, email address, company and message.
Work authorisation and relocation: if you use immigration support, the information you choose to share about your right to work or your plans to move.
Payments: payments are processed by payment providers. We keep a record of your plan, your billing status and your payment history.
3. Information collected when you use the site
Essential storage: the site stores what it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in, keeping your session secure and remembering choices you make in the interface. Our cookie notice describes this in more detail.
Your cookie choice: when you answer the cookie notice, your browser remembers that you answered, and we keep a record of your choice and of the version of the notice you saw.
Referral links: if you arrive through an affiliate's referral link, we set a cookie that holds that affiliate's referral code for thirty days, so that a sign-up can be credited to the right affiliate. The cookie holds the code, not information about you.
Campaign details: if the address you arrive on carries referral or campaign details, the site keeps them for the rest of your browser session so that a sign-up can be attributed.
Technical information: like most websites, our servers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. We use it to run and secure the service.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not share your browsing with advertising networks. We do not run analytics today. If we add analytics, it will only run after you agree to it.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to create and run your account; to show you jobs and let you apply; to let employers and Live Recruiters review the applications you send them; to process payments and credit affiliates for referrals; to answer your messages and help requests; to send you service messages and the notifications you have switched on; to keep LiveRec secure and prevent fraud and misuse; and to meet our legal obligations.
5. Who we share information with
Employers and Live Recruiters: when you apply for a role or express interest in it, the employer or Live Recruiter responsible for that role can see your application and the profile information you send with it.
Your public profile: if you make parts of your profile public, anyone who views it can see those parts. You control what it shows in your account settings.
Service providers: companies that host LiveRec, deliver email and process payments and payouts for us. They may use personal information only to provide those services to us.
Legal and safety reasons: when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or LiveRec.
Business changes: if LiveRec is reorganised, sold or merged, personal information may be transferred as part of that change and will stay covered by a policy that protects it.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
LiveRec connects job seekers and employers in different countries, including India and the United States. Your information may therefore be processed in a country other than the one you live in. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we put them in place.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is open and for as long as we need it to provide LiveRec to you. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your information within a reasonable period, unless we need to keep some of it to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or prevent fraud.
8. Your choices and rights
You can review and update most of your profile in your account settings, and switch notifications on or off. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to take it with you, and to withdraw a consent you have given. To make a request, contact us through the contact page. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within the time the law that applies to you requires.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
10. Children
LiveRec is not intended for anyone under eighteen. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under eighteen, we will close it and delete its information.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with the date it takes effect. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders before it takes effect.
12. Contact
For any question about this policy or about your personal information, contact us through the contact page on this site.
