Terms of service | LiveRec
These terms describe how LiveRec works and what we expect of the people who use it.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the business that operates LiveRec, referred to here as LiveRec, we and us. By creating an account or using LiveRec, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use LiveRec on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that company.
2. Who can use LiveRec
You must be at least eighteen to create an account. The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date. Each account is for one person, and you must not share your sign-in details. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. What LiveRec is, and what it is not
LiveRec is a marketplace that connects job seekers, employers, Live Recruiters and affiliates. LiveRec is not the employer for roles posted on it, and it is not an immigration adviser or a law firm. We do not promise that you will get a job, an interview, an offer, a hire or a visa outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers, and immigration decisions are made by the authorities responsible for them.
4. Job seekers
The profile, resume and application details you submit must be truthful. When you apply for a role or express interest in it, you ask us to share your application with the employer or Live Recruiter responsible for that role, and you understand that they decide what happens next.
5. Employers and Live Recruiters
Roles you post must be real, accurately described and open when you post them. Postings and hiring decisions must follow the employment, anti-discrimination and data protection laws that apply to you. You may use candidate information you receive through LiveRec only to consider those candidates for the roles they applied to or were introduced for, and you must not use it for any unrelated purpose.
6. Affiliates
Affiliates must promote LiveRec honestly. Spam, misleading claims, paid advertising on LiveRec's name, fake or self-made referrals and any other attempt to earn credit you have not genuinely earned are not allowed. How referrals are attributed, what you earn and when you are paid are set out in your affiliate account and the affiliate programme pages, and those terms form part of this agreement. Referrals obtained through fraud or a breach of these terms are not paid, and payments already made for them may be reversed.
7. Plans and payments
Some features require a paid plan. The price and what the plan includes are shown before you pay. Plans that renew automatically keep renewing until you cancel, and cancelling stops future charges from the next billing date. If you pay through a recurring payment mandate, you can also cancel it through your payment provider. Refunds are available where the law requires them and as stated at the time of purchase.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add to LiveRec, such as your profile, resumes, job postings and messages. You give LiveRec permission to store, display and share that content as needed to run the service, including sharing it with the people you choose to send it to. You confirm that you have the right to share the content you add, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
9. What you must not do
You must not copy or scrape LiveRec or its data by automated means; create fake accounts or impersonate anyone; post misleading, discriminatory or unlawful content; harass, threaten or spam other users; upload anything harmful, such as malware; try to get around security, access limits or plan limits; or use information from LiveRec for any purpose these terms do not allow.
10. Other websites and services
LiveRec may link to or work with services run by other companies. Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Suspension and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk or exposes LiveRec to legal liability. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why. You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact page. What happens to your information afterwards is described in our privacy policy.
12. Disclaimers
We work to keep LiveRec available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that LiveRec will be uninterrupted or error free, or that information posted by other users is accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, LiveRec is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, opportunities or data, arising from your use of LiveRec. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
14. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with the date it takes effect. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using LiveRec after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
15. Contact
For any question about these terms, contact us through the contact page on this site.
