LiveRec editorial standards
LiveRec Editorial is the in-house team behind these LiveRec editorial standards. It writes and maintains the guides, help articles, templates and glossary on this site. Every page carries the byline "LiveRec Editorial". We write about hiring, job search, immigration, payroll, background checks and how LiveRec works.
How do we source our pages?
- The product itself. Help articles describe what LiveRec does today, checked against how the product behaves. If a feature does not exist, we say so.
- Official sources. Immigration, tax, employment and background-check pages cite primary sources such as USCIS, the US Department of Labor, the IRS, the FTC and the CFPB, and Indian government sources for India pages. Each page lists its sources and the date we checked them.
- Company decisions. Policies such as refunds, payouts and data retention follow decisions the company has made, and we state them as they are.
- Our own numbers only when we have them. We publish a statistic only if we can say where it comes from, when and how it was measured. Where we have no data, we say that.
How are pages reviewed and updated?
Pages are published after an editor checks them, and reviewed in-house after publication. Each page shows a "last updated" date. When something changes, whether a rule, a price shown in the product or a feature, we update the page and the date, not the date alone. Pages on immigration, tax, payroll, legal and background-check topics get the closest attention.
What do we not do?
- No sponsored content. No one pays to be mentioned, ranked or recommended. If we compare tools or services, we say what each does well and where it falls short.
- No invented facts. AI may help with drafting, but a person at LiveRec edits every page and owns its accuracy. We do not publish made-up statistics, quotes, reviews or testimonials.
- No guarantees. We are not a law firm, tax adviser or lender. We never promise a visa, a job or an outcome.
How do I report a mistake?
Submit a support ticket from the Help Center. Open Help & support in your account, choose Create a support ticket, and tell us the page address and what is wrong. If you can, include a source. We correct confirmed errors and update the "last updated" date.
