How do I upload documents a recruiter requested?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

When a recruiter working on your application asks for documents, LiveRec lists each request on a page called Documents requested. Upload one file per request. The files are used only to review your application, and the page shows the status of each one.

Steps

  1. Open the Documents requested page for your application, from the link in the request you received.
  2. Read each request. It shows a label, any instructions from the recruiter and a due date if there is one.
  3. For each request that says Waiting for your file, choose a file and send it. The message "sent for review" confirms it.
  4. Check back for the status.

What do the statuses mean?

StatusMeaning
Waiting for your fileYou still need to upload it
Under reviewThe recruiter has your file and is reviewing it
VerifiedThe recruiter accepted it
Rejected, please upload againThe file was not accepted. A line starting "Why:" explains, and you can upload a replacement

What files can I upload?

PDF, Word (.docx), PNG or JPG, up to 15 MB each. LiveRec checks the file type and size before storing it. A file over 15 MB is refused with "That file is larger than 15 MB." If uploads are unavailable the page says so; try again later.

Common problems

  • "We could not find that application." The link is for another account or an application that no longer exists. Sign in with the account you applied with.
  • "Nothing has been requested for this application." No request is open.
  • "Your document requests could not be read just now." Choose Try again.
  • You want to know who sees a file. See Who sees my verification documents for ID documents, which are handled separately from application documents.
