What does my application status mean?
Each application shows one status. Applied: the employer has it. In review: they are looking. Interviewing: an interview is arranged or done. Offered: they made an offer. Hired. Not selected: they will not go ahead. Declined and Withdrawn are your own exits.
Steps
- Open Jobs from the rail.
- Use the tabs: All, Applied, In review, Interviewing, Offered, Hired, Not selected, Withdrawn, Saved. Declined has no tab of its own; those applications show under All.
Good to know
- Employers set the pace, so a status can stay the same for a while.
What each status means for you
| Status | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Applied | The employer has your application | Wait, or withdraw it |
| In review | The employer is looking at it | Keep your profile current |
| Interviewing | An interview is arranged or done | Confirm or reschedule, prepare |
| Offered | The employer made an offer | Accept, decline or counter |
| Hired | You are hired | Nothing further needed |
| Not selected | The employer will not go ahead | Keep applying |
| Declined, Withdrawn | You ended it yourself | Apply to other jobs |
Common questions
How long does a status stay the same? The employer sets the pace, so it can stay on one status for a while. A status that has not changed is not a sign that your application was lost.
Where is a Declined application? Declined has no tab of its own. Those applications show under All.
Does withdrawing give me the application back? No. Withdrawn applications still count toward your plan limit. See application limits.
