How do I keep my account secure?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

To keep your account secure: seeker accounts sign in with your email and password or with Google. You can sign out from the account menu, change your password under Settings > Profile, reset a forgotten one with an emailed code, and manage your sign-in methods under Account settings. Seeker accounts do not have two-step verification or a list of signed-in devices.

Steps

  1. Sign out when you use a shared or public computer: open the account menu and choose Sign out.
  2. If you think someone else knows your password, choose Forgot password on the sign-in page, enter your email, then enter the verification code we email you with a new password. See Change or reset your LiveRec password.
  3. Open Account settings and find the Sign-in methods section to see which methods are connected. A method can be disconnected only if you have another one connected; LiveRec asks you to confirm it is you with an emailed code first.
  4. If something still looks wrong, open a ticket from Help & support and tell us what you saw and when. See Contact LiveRec and track your request.

Good to know

  • We never ask for your password or codes by email, chat or phone.
  • If you sign in with Google, protect that Google account too; LiveRec relies on it.
