How do I report a fake job on LiveRec?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

To report a fake job, open it and choose Report job at the foot of the posting, pick a reason and send. A person on our team reviews every report, and the employer is not told who reported them. You need to be signed in. Reporting does not give you a result or a timeline.

Steps

  1. Open the job posting while signed in, and scroll to the foot of the posting.
  2. Choose Report job. To report the company instead, open its page and choose Report employer.
  3. Under Reason, choose the closest match. The three scam reasons come first: Fake job, Asks me for money, and Impersonating a company or person. Others include Misleading or inaccurate, Discriminatory, Offensive content, Duplicate posting and Job is no longer available.
  4. Add anything useful under Anything else? (optional), such as the message you received or the payment you were asked for.
  5. Send the report. The window says "Report received" and "Thanks, our team reviews every report."

Good to know

  • You can only report a job once. Sending it again is accepted and changes nothing.
  • A report cannot be edited or withdrawn from the page. If you reported by mistake, create a support ticket from Help & support.
  • If you have already paid someone or shared bank details, tell your bank straight away and use the reporting routes on the full page linked below.
  • LiveRec never asks for your password or a verification code in a message. Do not send either to anyone.
