Why does a LiveRec job page ask me to sign up?
A public job page shows you the listing and then, within a couple of seconds, a pop-up that asks you to sign up by creating an account: "Create an account to get full access." It has no close button, because an account is needed to see and apply to jobs on LiveRec. Applying also needs an active paid plan.
What do I see?
| You are | What happens on a job page |
|---|---|
| Signed out | The listing loads, then the sign-up pop-up appears with Continue with Google and Get started |
| Signed in as a job seeker without a paid plan | You are sent to the plans page to choose a plan instead of seeing the job |
| Signed in as a job seeker with a paid plan | You see the job and can apply |
| Signed in as an employer or recruiter | You are not sent to the job seeker plans page; the sign-up pop-up behaves as for a signed-out visitor |
The pop-up cannot be dismissed with Escape or by clicking outside it. The card notes that by continuing you agree to the terms of service and privacy policy. Browsing is free, but applying needs a plan: see Is LiveRec free for job seekers?.
How do I apply?
- Create an account with Continue with Google or Get started, and choose a plan.
- Open the job, choose Apply, attach a resume and answer any questions. See Apply to a job.
Why does a job link say "We couldn't find this job"?
Job links stop working when the job closes or its closing date passes. LiveRec shows a closed job inside the product only to people who saved it or applied to it; everyone else gets the not-found page, the same page as for an address that never existed. Search again for similar roles. See A job is closed or no longer available.
Is the job real?
LiveRec lets you report a job or an employer that looks fake or misleading. See Report a problem. Never pay anyone to get a job.
