Why is a job closed or expired?
A job is closed or expired when the employer closes or pauses it, or when its closing date passes. LiveRec then stops taking applications for it. What you see depends on whether you saved the job, applied to it, or are just following a link.
What you see in each case
| Where you meet the job | What it shows |
|---|---|
| A job you saved | It stays in your Saved list marked "No longer accepting applications", with no Apply button, until you unsave it |
| A job you applied to | You can still open it from your application; it carries the Closed label |
| Choosing Apply on a closed job | "This job is no longer accepting applications." |
| A public link opened by someone who has not saved or applied | "We couldn't find this job" |
LiveRec shows closed jobs inside the product only to people who saved or applied to them. Everyone else gets the not-found page, which is the same page you see for an address that never existed.
What can I do?
- Unsave the job to clear it from your list, or keep it as a record of where you looked.
- Search again for similar roles. AI job search can take a plain-English description, and job alerts tell you when a new match appears.
- Check Application status for jobs you already applied to. The status shows what the employer has done with your application.
- If the job should still be open, for example you applied a day ago and now cannot find it, open a ticket from Help & support with the job title and company.
Good to know
- We remind you 3 days before a saved job closes.
- A link you were sent may point to a job that has already closed. Ask the sender whether it is still open.
