How do I record a placement and set my fee?
You do not record a placement by hand. A placement appears under Placements when a candidate accepts an offer on one of your jobs. Each row shows the candidate, client and job, start date, fee and whether you have invoiced it. You then set the fee and create an invoice for your client.
Where does the fee come from?
The Fee column says either From the agreement or Entered by you. An agreement in force with a client sets your placement fee. Agreement fee types are percentage of first-year pay, flat fee, hourly or retainer. If no fee is set the row says "Not set".
- Open Placements.
- In the Fee column choose Enter fee (or Edit fee).
- Type the amount and a three-letter currency code, then choose Save.
- To go back to the agreement's terms, choose Use agreement.
You can change the fee only until the placement is invoiced.
How do I invoice it?
When a fee is set, the Invoiced column shows Create invoice. It opens a new client invoice with a "Placement fee" line already filled in. The four tiles at the top show Placements, Total fees, Invoiced and Still to invoice. You can search, filter by client or by invoiced status, and export the list.
What about a replacement guarantee?
Placements has no guarantee field, so LiveRec does not track a guarantee period or a refund. Keep any guarantee in your agreement with the client.
Who pays whom?
Your client pays you directly. LiveRec records and tracks the invoice but does not process the payment or take a share of your fee. You pay LiveRec only for your plan.
