How do I invoice a client for my fees?
Open Subscriptions & billing, choose the Client invoices tab and then New invoice. You enter your own fees, send the invoice, and mark it paid when the money arrives. Your client pays you directly: LiveRec records and tracks the invoice but does not process the payment or calculate tax.
If you do not see the Client invoices tab, the feature is not switched on for your account.
How do I create an invoice?
- Choose New invoice. From Placements, Create invoice opens it with a "Placement fee" line filled in.
- Choose the Client and set the Issue date and Due date. The due date cannot be before the issue date. Use a three-letter currency code such as USD.
- Add lines. Each has a Type (Placement fee, Contractor hours or Custom), a Description, a quantity above zero and a Unit amount (Rate per hour for contractor hours). Use Add line for more, up to 100.
- Enter the Tax amount yourself, for example 45.00.
- Add Notes for the client, How to pay (bank details or a preference) and, if you have one, a payment link that starts with https://.
- Choose Save draft. A draft is not visible to the client until you send it.
What can I do with an invoice?
