How do I submit a candidate to a client's job?
Open Submissions and choose Submit a candidate. It has three steps: choose the job, choose the candidates, then make your case with a note, an optional rate and a CV. The client accepts the person into their pipeline or rejects them with a reason.
Steps
- Choose the job. Pick the Client, then an open job. Only open jobs are listed. If a client has exactly one open job, it is chosen for you.
- Choose the candidates. Use Saved candidates or Sourcing for this job. Select up to 10 at a time.
- Make your case. Add a Note to the client (up to 2,000 characters), an optional Rate with currency and a unit (per hour, day, month, year or flat), and an optional CV as a PDF up to 20 MB.
- Choose Submit to client. With several people selected the button reads "Submit 3 candidates", for example.
A CV belongs to one person, so you can attach it only when a single candidate is selected. Add it later from the submission otherwise.
What status will I see?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Awaiting client | The client has not opened it. You can withdraw it. |
| Under review | The client is looking at it. |
| Accepted | The candidate is in the client's pipeline. A hire moves to Placements. |
| Rejected | The client's reason is shown on the submission. |
| Withdrawn | You withdrew it. You can submit the person again later. |
The submission page also has a Timeline (submitted, CV attached, opened by the client, decision).
How do I withdraw a submission?
Open it and choose Withdraw submission, add an optional reason and confirm. This works until the client decides. After that you see "The client has already decided".
Why was my submission refused?
- "This candidate has already been submitted to this job."
- "This client has not claimed their company yet, so there is nobody to review a submission."
- "This job is not open, so it cannot take new submissions."
- "You have reached today's limit of submissions. Try again tomorrow."
