How do I request immigration help and track cases as a recruiter?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

US federal immigration rules as of 31 Oct 2026.

Immigration opens on a candidate once they accept a job offer. Open the candidate's Immigration tab and request assistance, and LiveRec's immigration team takes the case. Follow all cases under Immigration in the left-hand menu, which adds a Client column and a client filter for recruiter agencies.

Steps

  1. Open the candidate, then the Immigration tab. Before the offer is accepted it only offers a checklist to download.
  2. Under "How should immigration work?" choose Request assistance. Add an optional note, such as the candidate's current status and start date, and send it.
  3. Upload documents and request the candidate's documents. Each file shows a status.
  4. When every document is in, request the immigration quote.
  5. When the quote is ready, accept and pay, or reject it and say why. On the recruiter portal your agency is the payer.
  6. Follow status and activity in the tab, or open Immigration in the menu.

With I know the petition you choose the form and visa category yourself. LiveRec still reviews documents and files.

How do I see all cases?

Immigration lists cases across your clients. Search, filter by client, select several and download them, or export a CSV. With no cases it says "No immigration cases yet. A case starts from a hired candidate's Immigration tab." Open a case for its own page with documents and activity.

Good to know

  • Documents are visible to the people working the case.
  • LiveRec is not a law firm and does not promise any visa outcome.
  • Documents you ask a candidate for outside a case are covered in offers, contracts and documents.
