What is Live Recruiter?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

A Live Recruiter is an independent recruiter or agency that uses LiveRec to find candidates, manage client companies and place people with them. Live Recruiters pay LiveRec for a plan and do not earn through LiveRec. They sit apart from employers and job seekers, with their own portal and plan.

What a Live Recruiter does on LiveRec

A Live Recruiter works for clients, not for LiveRec. In the recruiter portal they can:

  • add client companies they recruit for;
  • post jobs on a client's behalf;
  • review applicants and move them through stages;
  • invite team members from their agency, so a desk can share the work.

The help article what is a Live Recruiter and how to join covers the start, and adding client companies and posting a job cover the daily work.

What it means for job seekers

Some jobs are posted by a recruiter on behalf of a company. Seeker help explains how recruiter-posted jobs appear. Any fee between a recruiter and a client is agreed outside LiveRec. A candidate should never be asked to pay to be considered for a job.

Example

A staffing desk manages three client companies in the portal, posts a role for each, and moves shortlisted candidates to interview from one list.
