How can career coaches use affiliate marketing?
Career coaches can use affiliate marketing to recommend LiveRec to clients and earn 20% of a referred job seeker's first payment through the LiveRec affiliate program, if they join, use their own link and disclose it. Only the first payment earns commission. You must not promise outcomes, and the program currently accepts affiliates in the United States.
Program terms as of 31 October 2026. They can change with notice.
At a glance
- Join is free, no audience size is required, and approval is checked by the program.
- Rates: 20% of a referred job seeker's first payment; 15% of an employer's or recruiter's first payment, capped at $500 per sale; 5% on what your sub-affiliates earn.
- A 90-day attribution window applies, commissions are held for 60 days before they become payable, and the minimum payout is $100.
- Payouts are monthly by bank transfer in US dollars after an ID check and tax form.
Why does it fit coaching?
Coaches already guide clients on resumes, interviews and job search. A tool recommendation can be one honest step in that plan. The commission is a thank-you for the referral, not a reason to recommend a product. If you would not recommend it for free, do not recommend it.
How to set it up
- Apply as an affiliate. See who can become an affiliate.
- Get your link and tag campaigns, for example one for your newsletter and one for a workshop. See first link and campaign tags.
- Add the link where it helps the client: a resource page, a resume handout, a post-session email.
- Add a plain disclosure next to every link. Copy wording from the affiliate disclosure template.
- Track results in the affiliate dashboard and review them monthly.
What can you say?
You can say what LiveRec does and how you use it. Do not promise a job, a visa, a salary or a guaranteed income, and do not say clients will get hired. Do not aim promotion at people under 18.
What about client trust?
- Tell clients you earn a commission, up front.
- Recommend other free options when they fit.
- Never pass a client's personal data to LiveRec for the purposes of referral. Clients sign up themselves.
- Consider whether your coaching code of ethics or your clients' employer rules limit referral payments.
Realistic expectations
Referral income depends on how many people in your audience pay. A commission arrives only after a referred person pays, passes the hold and the payout threshold is reached. See payouts for the minimum and schedule.
