How do I save and reuse message templates?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

Open the message box in Messages (or the chat on an application), choose Templates, then + New template. A template fills the message box with your saved wording and never sends anything by itself. You can keep up to 50 templates and edit or delete them later.

Create a template

  1. In a message box, choose Templates, then + New template. You can also choose Manage templates, then New template.
  2. Enter a Title (up to 80 characters) and the Message (up to 2,000 characters).
  3. Optionally add a field with the chips: Employer name fills in the company you are writing to, Job title fills in the job the conversation is about, and Blank to fill adds a [your text] placeholder.
  4. Choose Save template. You see a confirmation line.

Use a template

Choose Templates in the message box and pick one. It fills the box. Edit what you like, complete any [brackets], then send as normal. The box tells you while a bracket is still unfilled.

LiveRec also offers a short list of ready-made templates in the same menu. Draft with AI is a separate button for the Essential and Professional plans and also writes a draft for you to check; it is not a template.

Edit, duplicate or delete

Choose Templates, then Manage templates. Each template has Edit, Duplicate and Delete. Delete asks you to confirm.

Common problems

  • "You already have a template with this title. Pick another title." Titles must be different.
  • "You have reached the limit of 50 saved templates. Delete one to add another." Remove one you no longer use.
  • "We couldn't load your templates." Close the window and try again.
