How do I join a video interview?

Open Interviews in the left menu, select the interview and choose Join. Join unlocks 15 minutes before the start, and only after you have confirmed you can attend. A LiveRec video interview runs in your browser, so there is no app to install. If the employer chose Zoom or Google Meet, Join opens that link in a new tab instead.

Steps

  1. Open Interviews in the left menu.
  2. Select the interview. If it says the hiring team set the time, choose Confirm attendance.
  3. When Join is available, choose Join. Before then it reads "Join opens at" the start window.
  4. In the lobby, check your microphone, speaker and camera, and pick a background effect if you want one.
  5. Choose Join now.

Good to know

  • For interviews held in LiveRec, a past interview is marked Completed or No-show from who actually joined the room. LiveRec cannot see who joined a Zoom or Google Meet call, so it does not mark those automatically.
  • If your interviewer doesn't join, wait for the company to rearrange, and message them.
