Is my interview recorded?
When a recording is requested, the waiting room shows a checkbox, "I agree to this interview being recorded." Recording starts only when everyone agrees, and it is kept for up to 90 days. Before you join, a notice lists any AI used, and says a person makes every hiring decision. In an AI-led interview, recording is required to join.
Steps
- In the waiting room, read the notice "This interview uses AI for ..." and choose "What this means" for details.
- If a recording is requested, tick the box to agree, or leave it unticked to decline.
- Choose to join. For a normal interview you can join without agreeing. For an AI-led interview the Join button stays disabled until you tick the box, so declining means not taking part.
Good to know
- After a call, AI can produce a summary and a draft scorecard for the employer, labelled as needing human review; people make hiring decisions. Which AI features apply depends on what the employer turns on for that interview, and the notice before you join lists them.
- Who can view a recording is limited by role.
- 90 days is the standard; an employer account can choose to keep new recordings longer.
