Send contracts to workers for signature
US federal rules as of 30 Oct 2026.
Open the worker, find the Documents section and choose Upload a contract (PDF). Nothing is sent yet: you sign first, and the worker is then asked to sign in their LiveRec account. Both of you sign by drawing or typing.
The signed PDF is kept with the worker's documents, with a signature certificate that records the time, IP address and, where the document requires it, location.
Steps
- Open Payroll, then Workers, and open the worker.
- In Documents, choose Upload a contract (PDF). The button shows only for active workers and for people allowed to manage that worker.
- Enter a Title and add the contract PDF (up to 5 MB). To place signature, date and initials boxes on your document, leave the placement option on and choose Upload and place boxes; turn it off and the button reads Upload and sign, and both signatures go on a certificate page.
- Review the contract, then choose Review and sign from the row menu if it is not already open, and sign.
- Watch the status: Needs your signature, Waiting for the worker, Signed by both, or Void. A contract nobody has fully signed can be voided from the row menu.
Good to know
- For an EOR worker, the Legal employer is shown on the worker's page.
