Add a payroll worker and register a country
US federal rules as of 30 Oct 2026.
Go to Payroll, then Workers, then Add worker. Choose who to add, say where they work, enter their pay and review. LiveRec recommends the payroll type from where the person works and whether your company is registered in that country under Registered countries.
Steps
- Open Payroll, then Workers, and choose Add worker. The page has four steps: Choose who, Where they work, Pay, and Review and confirm.
- In Choose who, select one or more of your hires, or choose Add someone manually and enter their full name, email and job. A manually added person gets an invitation link to join LiveRec.
- In Where they work, pick the country they physically work in. LiveRec recommends a payroll type; confirm it to continue.
- In Pay, set currency, amount, pay schedule and start date, then review and confirm.
- A contract is created. You sign it first, then the worker signs from their LiveRec account.
- Track progress on the worker's record: Invited, Details submitted, Right to work checked, then Ready for payroll.
Register a country
- Open Payroll, then Registered countries, and choose Add country.
- Enter the registered legal name and the company tax ID for that country.
- LiveRec verifies new or changed details. If your company is not registered in a country, new workers there are employed through our local payroll partner (Employer of Record).
Good to know
- Stored tax IDs and numbers are masked. People with the right permission can choose Show to see one for a short time.
- A verified country is locked. Choose Request a change from its row menu; the change goes back for verification.
- Registering a country first is not required. Without a verified registration LiveRec routes the worker through its local partner.
