Can college placement cells and campus influencers join the affiliate program?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

Not yet for India. LiveRec's affiliate program currently accepts affiliates in the United States and pays in US dollars, so a college placement cell or campus influencer in India can leave an email for updates but cannot be paid today. This page explains how it would work and what the rules are, so you can prepare.

Status as of 31 October 2026.

At a glance

  • Current rule: US affiliates, USD only. Other countries: a waitlist with no promised date.
  • If it opens to you, commission is on a referred person's first payment, and promotion rules apply.
  • Do not charge students for anything related to a referral, and never promise a job.
  • Disclose any material connection clearly. India's ASCI guidelines require it.

Who is this page for?

  • Placement cell coordinators who want students to find verified employers.
  • Student ambassadors and campus influencers with a following.
  • Training institutes and coaching centers that mentor freshers.

What can you do today?

  1. Leave your email on the waitlist when you sign up. See who can become an affiliate.
  2. Share free guidance with students without commission, such as fresher jobs in India.
  3. Learn the rules below so you are ready.

How would commission work if it opens?

The program pays on a referred person's first payment, and the pay rates are shown on the affiliate dashboard after approval. The program rules also say: 90-day attribution, 60-day hold, a minimum payout of $100, and monthly bank transfers in US dollars. The rupee value depends on the exchange rate and transfer fees. As an example only, at a hypothetical Rs 84 per US dollar, a USD 100 payout would be about Rs 8,400; that exchange rate is not live. Reading the terms in affiliate program for India will help you plan.

What must you disclose?

ASCI guidelines require a disclosure label when there is a material connection between an advertiser and an influencer. A material connection includes money, free products, discounts and other benefits. The disclosure must be upfront and prominent, not hidden in a bio or at the end. Permitted labels include "Advertisement", "Ad", "Sponsored", "Collaboration", "Partnership" and "Affiliate". The disclosure should be in English or in the language of the post. See the disclosure template.

Rules for campus promotion

  • Aim only at adults. LiveRec's rules ban targeting people under 18.
  • Do not promise placement, interviews or a visa.
  • Do not cold message people who did not ask to hear from you.
  • Post on your own channels, not on coupon sites.
  • Do not ask students to pay you or the institution for access.
