Senior Lead Analyst

The Legal Entity Reporting (CoE) is responsible for supporting accurate and timely statutory financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP requirements for multiple international legal entities. The position involves close collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders, partnering with cross-functional teams.

• Run HFM Consolidation for statutory and other reporting and work with the technologies team to resolve issues, if any.
• Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP statutory adjustments.
• Preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit queries.
• Post journal entries and implement spreadsheet controls.
• Ensure effective controls and governance are adhered to.

CA Inter (Preferred) / Post-Graduate/ Graduate in Commerce from a recognized university. Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience

Finance/ Accounting/Audit experience

• Must demonstrate personal accountability in ensuring all tasks and activities are carried out on time and in accordance with requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to operate in a large company matrix environment (if external candidate).

• Should have excellent Accounting and Finance knowledge.
• Should have good analytical skills.

• Coordinate with multiple teams across American Express to provide external audit support. Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP Financial Statements.

• Knowledge of AXP Policies, Procedures and Systems.
• High proficiency in MS-Office applications, working knowledge of Workiva/Wdesk/Essbase/ analytical software/Oracle etc.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) and their application to reporting.
• Hands-on experience developing analytics using data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, or similar platforms).
