• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to established menus
• Follow appropriate portion sizes and meal schedules for young children
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and kitchen supplies
• Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs
• Follow procedures for food allergies and dietary restrictions
• Maintain required food-service and sanitation documentation
• Coordinate with center leadership and classroom teams regarding meal service
• Follow Massachusetts EEC and applicable food-safety requirements

• ServSafe certification required
• Previous professional cooking, food preparation, or kitchen experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, portion guidelines, and allergy procedures
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Experience preparing meals in a childcare, school, healthcare, or similar setting is a plus
