ER Tech

Job Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DaysHoliday Rotation: BDepartment: ERReporting to the Shift Manager of the assigned area, the Emergency Department Tech performs duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN)/Charge Nurse. Responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within the ED Tech scope of practice.

Minimum Education:

Completion of EMT/Paramedic training or equivalent or Completion of Nursing Assistant certification

Minimum Experience/Skills:

6+ months experience as an Emergency Department Medical Tech or Nursing Assistant in an Emergency Department or equivalent.

License/Certificates/Credentials:

Required: Minimum of six months experience as an Emergency Department Medical Tech in an Emergency Department, EMT, or equivalent Current BLS certification; Basic EKG course within 6 months of hire Preferred; Current California Certificate of Phlebotomy. Employees hired/transferred into the position after January 1, 2005 must possess and maintain EMT certification; Behavioral management training as mandated by the hospital.
