Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to create high-level application architecture designs across modules and database layers, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and integration guidelines.

Area of Responsibility

Requirement Analysis-Coordinate with business and development teams to understand application-specific requirements relating to module-level needs, data flows, and integration expectations.

Designing-Create high level application architecture designs across application and database layers to ensure alignment with defined design guidelines, including frameworks, patterns, protocols, API design.

Integration assessment and support-Assess and evaluate application’s interaction with existing systems, databases, and infrastructure to validate integration feasibility.

Troubleshooting-Support application testing after deployment and help validate functional behaviour of application design.

We’re looking for an Observability Architect to

1. Design and implement observability solutions for IT system and applications

1. Co-ordinate with business users and IT Teams to understand observability requirements

1. Diagnose, identify and execute steps to improve system observability

1. Create, maintain and update system documentation and operational procedures related to observability

1. Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond anomalies

1. Recommend and implement solutions to improve system observability and reduce incidents

1. Take ownership and resolve open support tickets related to observability while adhering to defined SLAs

1. Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance observability

Your Expertise

1. 7-10 years of experience as an Observability Architect or similar role within the financial sector

1. Expertise in designing and implementing observability solutions for larger systems and applications that are geographically distributed

1. Good understanding of web based application development, deployment and different hosting platforms like Tomcat IIS, etc

1. Good understanding of Cloud ( Azure Preferred ) services like Iaas, Paas, and Saas services and networking concepts

1. Good understanding of version control tool like Gitlab and CI/CD process

1. Aware of System/ Design thinking concepts

1. Good understanding of incident and problem management and integrations

1. Usage of AIOPS and Bau would be beneficial

1. Good problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to break down the problems and identify resolution steps

1. Ability to partner with other IT and business Teams in context of issue resolution, comfortable working in a team with diverse backgrounds and culture in a distributed Team environment

1. Familiarity with cloud-native observability solutions

Preferred hands-on Experience with below

1. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stack

1. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

1. Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform or similar

1. Proficiency with scripting language like Powershell/ bash/ Python

1. Proficiency with rest API and batch loading / integration techniques

1. Proficiency with programming languages like C#, Java

1. Proficiency with database and their observability eg. SQL/ PostgreSQL

1. Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices

1. Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks
