What are job preferences?
Preferences tell LiveRec which job titles, locations, work arrangements and pay you want, and LiveRec uses your preferred locations and relocation setting when it scores how well a job fits you. Open Account settings, choose the Preferences tab, then Edit next to Job preferences.
Steps
- Open Account settings, Preferences tab.
- Choose Edit next to Job preferences. The page lists Desired job title, Specialization, Industry, Preferred location, Open to relocation, Work type, Work preference and Preferred pay range; fields marked * are required.
- Select Save.
- Availability (employment status, interview time, notice period) and Immigration have their own Edit links on the same tab.
Good to know
- Change them whenever your search changes.
- Job alerts are built from the search you save, not from these preferences. See the job alerts article.
- Employers can see your preferred pay range, your availability and your work authorization on your profile. They never see what you were paid in past jobs, your email or your phone number.
