How do I build and improve my resume on LiveRec?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

Open Resumes and choose Build resume to make a resume from your profile, then download it as a PDF or Word file. The builder only places your own words into a layout; it does not use AI. AI analysis and AI wording suggestions are separate steps for plans that include them.

How do I build a resume?

  1. Open Resumes from the account menu and choose Build resume.
  2. Choose a layout, then a color, then a font. Each preview is your own profile in that style. You can go back to an earlier step without losing your choices.
  3. On the Preview step, check it and choose Download PDF or Download Word (.docx). If the Word file cannot be prepared, try again or use the PDF.

Build resume reads your profile, so a missing job or skill means a missing line. Add it under Account settings first. See Complete your profile.

How do I get an AI analysis?

On Resumes, the Analyze your résumé card opens AI resume analysis. Pick one of your uploaded resumes and choose Analyze résumé. The report is section by section, each marked Strong, Improve or Missing, with fixes that quote your own words. It shows when it was analyzed. If the file changed since, or the review has improved, it asks you to analyze again, and Re-analyze runs it again.

How do I improve my wording?

From Preview, choose Build with AI, then Improve my wording with AI. AI rewrites your summary and bullets, never your employers, titles or dates, and you keep only the suggestions you accept. If you came from an analysis, the tips are used.

Which plans include this?

AI analysis and wording are included in Essential and Professional. The builder and PDF/Word download are available without them. See Resume AI features.

What are AI credits?

AI features draw on a monthly allowance. The meter shows how many are left and when they reset. When they are used up it says so and gives the reset date. A blocked analysis says "Nothing was charged" and keeps your saved analysis visible.

What if my details were read wrongly?

When a resume fills in your profile, check every line afterwards. To fix a wrong job, date or skill, edit it under Account settings: Experience, Education or Skills. Edits to the profile do not change an uploaded file; upload or replace the file to change that. See Upload or replace your resume.
