How do I compare jobs I have saved?
Open a job and use Compare with saved jobs to put it side by side with up to three jobs you have saved. The comparison covers pay, location, job type, dates and your match. It is included in the Essential and Professional plans.
Steps
- Save the jobs you are weighing up. See Save jobs for later.
- Open the job you want to start from. In its details, choose Pick saved jobs.
- Search your saved jobs by title, company or place, and tick up to three. A counter shows how many you have picked; once you reach three, the rest are disabled until you remove one.
- Choose Compare. On a wide screen the jobs appear as columns in a table; on a phone, as stacked cards. Change jobs lets you pick again.
What does each row mean?
| Row | What you see |
|---|---|
| Pay | The posted range converted to a yearly amount in the job's own currency. LiveRec does not convert between currencies |
| Location | The place, or Remote |
| Job type | Full-time, part-time, contract and so on |
| Dates | When it was posted and when it closes |
| Match | How well the job fits your profile |
Why does a row say "Not comparable" or "No score"?
- Not stated means the job does not list pay.
- Not comparable (pay period not stated) means a range is posted but not whether it is per hour, month or year, so LiveRec will not guess.
- No score: doesn't sponsor your visa means the job does not match the visa status on your profile, so it has no match score. If every job in your comparison is like this, one note says so instead.
- Not available means a match could not be calculated for that job, for example because it is closed.
A saved job that has closed still appears, marked Closed, so your shortlist does not silently shrink.
Common problems
- Pick saved jobs is locked and shows See plans. Your plan does not include comparing saved jobs.
- "You have no other saved jobs yet." Save a few jobs first, then return.
- "One of the jobs you picked is no longer in your saved jobs. Pick again." You unsaved a job after choosing it. Choose Change jobs and select again.
- "The comparison could not be loaded. Try again." Wait a moment and choose Compare again.
