Why does LiveRec ask about cookies?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

LiveRec asks about cookies with a banner on the public site that offers Accept and Decline and records your choice. It also says LiveRec does not currently load analytics or advertising tags, and links to the cookie page. The data saver is a button in the site footer, shown as "Data saver is off. Turn on".

When it is on, public pages skip decorative images and use your device's system fonts instead of downloading web fonts, which saves data on slow or metered connections. It also switches on by itself if your browser sends a data-saver signal, unless you turned it off.

Edge cases

  • Marketing sign-ups (contact form, waitlist) use a consent sentence you see on screen.
  • The privacy policy is linked in the site footer.
