How do I reschedule or cancel an interview as an employer?

LiveRec EditorialUpdated

As an employer, open an upcoming interview and use the Reschedule or Cancel icons at the top of its popup. Cancelling needs a reason, which the candidate sees. Once an interview has passed, the same popup asks "Did this interview happen?" and lets you record a no-show.

Steps

  1. Open Interviews in the menu and click the interview, or open it from the candidate.
  2. To change the time, choose the Reschedule icon, set the Date, Time and Duration, then choose Save changes. For video interviews you can also switch the meeting between LiveRec video and a pasted link.
  3. To cancel, choose the Cancel icon, enter a Reason for cancelling, then choose Cancel interview. Choose Keep the interview to back out.
  4. For a no-show, wait until the time has passed. Under "Did this interview happen?" select No-show (candidate), then choose Save outcome.

Outcome choices after the time has passed

  • Completed: the interview took place.
  • No-show (candidate): your team joined, the candidate did not.
  • No-show (team): the candidate joined, nobody from your team did.
  • Not completed: recorded as not held.

Good to know

  • Reschedule and Cancel only appear for interviews that are still scheduled and have not ended.
  • A reschedule less than an hour before the start is flagged as a late change.
  • Cancelled interviews show struck through, with who cancelled them.
  • For a LiveRec video interview the outcome may be pre-selected from who joined the room. Zoom, Meet and other links cannot be checked, so you record it yourself. You can change a recorded outcome.
  • To reach the candidate before marking a no-show, use Message on the candidate page.
