What is TN Visa?
The TN visa is a US work status for qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens in listed professions under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). It lets them work for a US employer in a profession on the USMCA list. Requirements depend on citizenship, and the applicant needs a job offer and proof of qualifications.
Example
A Canadian engineer with a US job offer presents documents at a port of entry to request TN status. A Mexican citizen applies for a TN visa at a US consulate instead.
