Associate Engineer - Packet Core

• Monitor and manage PCN/MPBN nodes (SGW, PGW, SMF, UPF, routers, switches)
• Ensure network uptime and SLA adherence
• Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective actions
• Coordinate with OEM/vendors for critical issues

• Execute CRs for: Node integration/upgrades ,Traffic offloading / rehoming, Feature activation (4G, 5G SA, slicing, QoS)
• Validate pre/post KPIs and ensure no service impact

• Monitor KPIs: Attach success rate, session success rate and Throughput, latency, packet loss
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize network performance
• Capacity planning and forecasting

• Manage interfaces: S1-U, S5/S8, N3, N6 (PCN) , IP/MPLS (MPBN).
• Ensure seamless integration with RAN, IMS, IN, and external networks

• Handle critical incidents and outages
• Lead bridge calls and coordinate cross-domain teams
• Ensure timely resolution and communication

• Prepare RCA reports, incident reports, and daily/weekly KPIs
• Maintain network documentation and configurations.

• Strong knowledge of: 4G EPC & 5G Core (SA/NSA)
• Strong knowledge of: IP/MPLS networking (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRF)
• Strong knowledge of: Protocols: GTP, Diameter, SIP (basic), TCP/IP
• Experience with OEMs (Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper)
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix basics.
• 2 to 5 years of experience required.
