TITLE: Supervisor of Facilities and Transportation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of five years of administrative experience, may hold a WV Professional Administrative Certificate

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Superintendent

SUPERVISES: Personnel assigned to Facilities, Transportation, and others as the Superintendent may delegate

SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent

SALARY AND Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule, plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Harrison County Professional Salary Schedule EMPLOYMENT: Employment term of 250 days

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

1. Assists the Superintendent in the general administrative operation of the school district, completing duties and tasks as assigned by the Superintendent 2. Oversees operations of all service departments, along with supervision, recruitment, performance testing, orientation and training of all service employees 3. Maintains safety standards in conformance with applicable regulations 4. Develops recommendations for future equipment, facility, and personnel needs in assigned areas, and communicates to the Superintendent the requirements and needs of the school district 5. Serves as liaison between the school district and state and local officials regarding all assigned areas 6. Oversees and supervises coordination and planning of all building and construction projects 7. Assumes responsibility for fiscal development and control of all assigned areas and ensures long range financial planning in these areas 8. Advises Superintendent regarding road conditions during inclement weather and makes recommendations regarding school closures 9. Oversees and supervises coordination of county transportation department
