Telecaller job description template
India format, central rules as of 30 Oct 2026. State rules vary.
A telecaller makes outbound calls, or takes inbound calls, to inform people about a product, qualify leads or follow up. A good job description says what is being offered, expected call volume, the language, working hours, and how fixed pay and incentives work.
At a glance
- Name the product or service, so applicants know what they will talk about.
- Show the fixed pay and the incentive rule separately.
- Say whether leads are provided and whether the calls are cold or warm.

How to customize it
- Calling rules: promotional calls and messages in India are regulated by TRAI. Train callers to respect Do Not Disturb preferences.
- Scam risk: genuine telecaller jobs do not charge candidates for registration, training or a SIM or headset. Say this in your posting.
- Incentives: write the incentive formula out. Avoid "unlimited earning" claims.
- Work from home: if allowed, say which equipment and data protection you provide.
- Level: delete the junior or senior wording that does not apply, and cut every requirement you would not screen for.
- Pay: show fixed pay and variable pay separately and state what is in-hand. Enter only figures you have approved.

FAQ
What is the difference between telecaller and telesales? A telecaller often qualifies leads or gives information. A telesales executive closes the sale on the call. Use the title that matches the job.
Is a graduate degree needed? Usually not. Communication and reliability matter more, so list the education you will really enforce.
