Duties are written from the role descriptions in India's National Classification of Occupations (NCO-2015) for accounting and bookkeeping roles, and checked against the National Career Service portal. Where a National Skills Qualifications Framework qualification pack exists for the job, compare it with your duties on the National Qualifications Register.

How to customize it

  • Filing authority: only authorised persons may file returns with the tax portals. State who files and who reviews.
  • Compliance dates: describe the month-end calendar honestly; GST due dates drive workload.
  • Role split: an accountant who also does payroll or admin should have that listed.
  • Pay: show fixed pay and any bonus separately in your own terms.
  • Level: delete the junior or senior wording that does not apply, and cut every requirement you would not screen for.
  • Pay: show fixed pay and variable pay separately and state what is in-hand. Enter only figures you have approved.

FAQ

Is Tally enough for an accountant role? Tally covers books and many compliance reports. Many roles also need Excel and GST portal skills, so list them if you use them.

Should I require CA Inter? Only if you need it. A B.Com with solid GST experience suits many small and mid-size businesses.
