How do affiliate commissions work?
Your affiliate commission is 20% of a referred job seeker's first payment, and 15% of a referred employer's or Live Recruiter's first payment, capped at $500 per sale. You also earn 5% of what your sub-affiliates earn. Your Earnings page shows your rate.
A new commission is held before it can be paid, and a refunded purchase can reverse it for 60 days.
Balance states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Earned, still in the hold; not yet payable |
| Available | Confirmed and payable |
| Requested | Included in a payout request |
| In review | Under review; never counted as payable |
Clawbacks
- The clawback window is 60 days from the date you were paid.
- If a clawback is larger than your balance, the shortfall carries forward. Your balance can show negative; what you can withdraw never goes below zero.
Edge cases
- Renewals: with the current program setting commission is paid on the first payment only, not on later renewals.
- Hold length: set by LiveRec and shown in the Help & support answer "Why does my commission say pending?", which also shows when your next hold ends.
