HPC - Senior Software Engineer - Linux, Bash, Python

Description We are seeking a Software Engineer that shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards.

Clearance A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• proficiency in scripting (Bash) to automate tasks and processes
• Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming language
• Experience implementing RBAC/ABAC for HPC systems
• Experience with advanced Linux security administration including PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs, and audit logging.
• Experience developing IAM solutions using Keycloak
• Experience implementing identity federation and SSO (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2)
• Experience developing and maintaining secret management integrations using HashiCorp Vault
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired skills:

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies

Benefits Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $229,000 - $251,000.
